Paul Ince has called out the behavior of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United insisting the Portuguese is having a negative influence on younger players at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo had walked straight to the dressing room without acknowledging Manchester United fans after the Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton.
The striker had earlier in the season also criticized some youngsters at Old Trafford for not adhering to his advice.
According to a report via The Sun, Paul Ince reckons Cristiano Ronaldo sorts out his own conduct before criticizing his teammates.
“People were saying he would be great for the club, the players, and the youngsters.
“We thought that would be the case but the example he is setting, by throwing his toys out of the pram, is a bad one.
“As we’ve seen on numerous occasions - running down the tunnel, not clapping fans, sulking - it’s not a good example to set."
Ronaldo’s scoring drought a problem for Manchester United
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is facing his worse goal-scoring drought in over a decade as the Manchester United striker has failed to score in his last six games for the Red Devils.
The 37-year-old had been in inspirational form when he joined last summer from Juventus scoring 14 times for the Old Trafford club but has failed to find his spark in the new year.
According to Sky Sports, Ronaldo has played 537 minutes in all competitions without scoring, attempting 37 shots on goal but only hitting the target with seven of them.
