Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has hinted he has no plans of dropping Harry Maguire despite the defender's horror form in recent weeks.
The United skipper has come under immense criticism for a string of below-par performances, which have cost his side points on some occasions.
Maguire was mainly at fault in the Red Devils' back-to-back 1-1 draws with Burnley and Southampton.
His costly errors have seen some sections of the fanbase and pundits call for his dropping from the team and even being stripped of the captaincy.
Rangnick's stance on Maguire
However, Rangnick has suggested that the England international will keep featuring in United's subsequent matches.
Whereas the German tactician admitted the former Leicester City star is struggling for form, he quickly jumped into his defence.
According to Rangnick, the Englishman has difficulty adjusting to what he demands from his United centre-backs.
"In the last two games he had some weaker moments both against Southampton and when we conceded the goal against Burnley," the United boss noted.
"But again, he is our captain and I don’t see any reason to change that. He is also a player who has to develop and get better like all the other players," he added.
