Reports have it that an unnamed English Premier League star has been arrested over an attack on his girlfriend after she called in police officers.
The player who is billed for international honours was nabbed at his home after security operatives stormed the premises.
It was gathered that he also sent her abusive messages late in the night, but after being arrested, he quickly hired lawyers for an out-of-court settlement.
SunSport reports that a payout thought to be a five-figure sum was then agreed with the girlfriend.

“This is quite disturbing, especially coming after the claims about Greenwood.
“In this case, the footballer used his money to get lawyers to sort it out for him and keep it out of the public eye.
“He reached a settlement and that has effectively silenced the girl in question and stopped court action.
“Her claims though were very serious, and included at least one allegation of domestic assault.”
The star, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested in 2019 and is no longer in a relationship with his accuser.
Meanwhile, after being released on bail by the police, Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood who is under investigation over assault has splashed a staggering £25,000 on attack dog to protect his home.
Following police questioning, the United forward has added a large German Shepherd-type animal to two other security personnel to secure his house.
