Kepa Arrizabalaga hopes he retains his starting berth in the Chelsea squad as the Blues prepares for Saturdays Club World Cup final against Palmeiras.
The Blues reached the final after a convincing win against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga putting up a superb display in the semi-final fixture.
According to the Daily Mail, Kepa Arrizabalaga is sweating on his place in the World Club Cup final his fine form deputising for Chelsea while Eduoard Mendy was away winning the African Nations with Senegal.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper has earned his way back to the hearts of many Chelsea fans after his heroics helped the Blues win the UEFA Super Cup in September when he saved two penalties against Valencia.
The arrival of first choice goalkeeper, Edourd Mendy has now caused a bit of dis-stability to the current Chelsea line-up as many expects the AFCON winner to walk straight to the starting eleven.
According to the official website of Chelsea, Mendy trained with his Chelsea team-mates in Abu Dhabi for the first time on Thursday February 10 after returning from his victory at the Africa Cup of Nations.
It remains to be seen which of the goalkeepers will start in Saturdays final against the Brazilians but the Blues are expected to win the cup that eluded them the last time they played at the Club World Cup.

Rudiger's future with the Blues is hanging on the balance after he stalled on renewing his current contract.
According to reports, the German international is demanding a new deal worth £200,000-per-week.
