Kurt Zouma’s brother Yoan has been suspended by his club Dagenham & Redbridge after the viral disturbing video of the West Ham star kicking his pet cat.
Zouma has been a trending topic for more than 72 hours after the horrific cat video went viral on social media, triggering a series of events.
It was Zouma’s brother Yoan who filmed the incident which he now says he 'unreservedly’ apologises for.
But the damage seems to already have been done as Zouma’s cats have since been taken up by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) as investigations go on.Dagenham & Redbridge have since released a statement confirming they had suspended Yoan, a centre back just like his brother, until investigations were completed.
"The Club would like to give a further update on its player, Yoan Zouma.,” the statement said.
"Yoan was this week contacted by the RSPCA to assist in their investigation and is fully cooperating with them.
"However, Dagenham & Redbridge FC would again like to reiterate that it condemns any form of cruelty towards animals and fully understands the reaction of many of its supporters.
"The Club has therefore decided that until the RSPCA has completed its investigations, Yoan will not play for Dagenham & Redbridge in any competitive match.
