Sadio Mane and his teammates at the Senegalese national team fought well at the just concluded 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon where they defeated Egypt in the final.
The final encounter against the Egyptian national team was not an easy ride for Senegalese players as Mohamed Salah and his teammates also wanted to win the title.
How did the AFCON 2021 final end?
Liverpool striker Sadio Mane would have sealed the win for Senegal in the first half when his side got a penalty against Egypt, but goalkeeper Gabaski saved the spot kick.
The match eventually went into penalties before Sadio Mane scored the winning kick which gave his nation their first ever African Cup of Nations title.
According to the report on France 24 and Nation, fans in Dakar were happy with the performance of their players at the AFCON and trooped out to welcome them.

Fans arrived by bicycles, motorbikes, cars and on foot, bringing the otherwise busy highways to a joyous standstill. Among them were government officials and opposition politicians, celebrating the country’s victory together as one.
