  • Before moving to the Swedish club from Nasarawa United, Silas Nwankwo scored 18 goals last season

Soccer fans have been left worried after learning the age of Nigerian striker Silas Nwankwo following his move from Nasarawa United to Swedish top division outfit Mjallby AIF.

Silas Nwankwo made the move to Mjallby thanks to his incredible performances last season in the Nigerian topflight where he scored 19 goals at the end of the season.

Despite his impressive number of goals scored, Silas Nwankwo and his teammates at Nasarawa United missed the chance to play in the CAF Champions League as they lost last game of the season.

And after the end of last season in the NPFL, Silas Nwankwo and some other players were involved in a screening conducted by scouts from Sweden in Abuja where he was picked.

According to the report on Transfer News Live and Daily Star, Silas Nwankwo signed four-year deal at Mjallby.

And what is the major discussion about him?

Many football fans have frowned at the player claiming to be an 18-year-old striker as they are of the view that Silas Nwankwo's face looks more mature than his age.

What is Nasarawa United current position on the NPFL?

After 10 games played so far this season in the Nigerian topflight, Silas Nwankwo's former club Nasarawa United are occupying 10th position on the table.

Rohr makes urgent and big statement on Ghana National team job

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr turned his back to reports linking him with the vacant Ghana senior national team coaching job following the sacking of Milovan Rajevac.

The Ghanaian Football Association were livid with their national team elimination at the ongoing 2021 African Cup of Nations where they crashed out in the Group stage.

Ghana were tipped before the competition to succeed in Cameroon, but Milovan Rajevac and his wards failed to impress and suffered the consequences.

And since Milovan Rajevac was dismissed, many coaches including Gernot Rohr have been linked with the job ahead of the final World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.
