Egypt and Cameroon will clash in the second semi-final of AFCON 2021, with both teams looking to book their place in the final against Senegal.
The Indomitable Lions and The Pharaohs have met a record 10 times already, but neither is less fired up for this encounter.
Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o even asked the national team to get fired up for the encounter as if it was a war. The comments have not gone down well with Egyptian coach Carlos Queiroz, IOL reports.
Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, on the other hand, wants The Pharaohs to stay grounded ahead of their match with Cameroon and not think about the final already the BBC reported.
Egypt has won the tournament a record seven times but got their campaign off to a rocky start with a loss against Nigeria. The hosts, on the other hand, are chasing their sixth AFCON title and haven’t looked troubled in any of their games thus far.

Aboubakar has scored seven times and created two assists while Salah has scored six goals and created three assists during his appearances at AFCON.
Egypt goes into the encounter having won three out of the last four meetings between the teams as well.

Egypt striker Mo Salah makes huge statement after AFCON quarter-finals qualification
FootballSports Brief earlier reported that Senegal is through to the final of this year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament after putting up a sensational performance to defeat Burkina Faso in the semi-final, Standard reports.
The Teranga Lions who reached the final at the last edition are now a step closer to clinching the most coveted prize in African football. Goals by Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye and Sadio Mane were enough for Senegal to render Blati Troure's effort for Burkina Faso a mere consolation as it ended 3-1 in favour of the Teranga Lions.
The encounter lived up to its pre-match billing as it was practically one of the fiercest contests in the competition this year. Senegal will now await the winner of the Egypt and Cameroon clash in the final of AFCON 2021.
