Egypt head coach, Carlos Queiroz, has been provoked by statements made by president of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto'o, ahead of their semi final clash on Thursday.
Samuel Eto'o was spotted in a video on social media charging his players to go all out in their game against Egypt as if it was a war.
However, ahead of Thursday's game, Carlos Queiroz slammed the ex-Barcelona player for making such comments.
"It's a very unfortunate comment, a very bad approach, a very bad message to the people of Cameroon," the 68-year-old said.
"To make this declaration of war before one game [shows he] doesn't learn nothing when he was in professional football.
"Football is not about war. Football is about celebration, it's about joy, it's about happiness."
Egypt and Cameroon are the two most successful countries at the Africa Cup of Nations, with 12 titles between them.
Thursday's match is seen as a battle of supremacy with the winner tipped to emerge champions.
The Indomitable Lions want to hosts and win the tournament while Egypt are eager to end their AFCON trophy drounght after last winning the tournament in 2010.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that, South Africa’s Roger De Sá and the Egyptian Football Association find themselves in hot water with the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Disciplinary Board after their clash against Morocco.
Egypt and Morocco competed in a quarter-final clash at AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
Roger De Sá was banned for four games by CAF for using an obscene gesture. The South African reported that after the match Egypt’s assistant coach got into an altercation with Moroccan Football Federation President, Faouzi Lekjaa, in which he used the obscene gesture.
