Former Chelsea defender John Terry was left dumbfounded at the fact that no Premier League club acquired his former teammate Diego Costa in the January transfer window.
Costa is currently a free agent after parting ways with Brazilian outfit Atletico Miniero and has been heavily tipped to join Arsenal, especially after the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
He has experience in the Premier League, having previously played for Chelsea and winning the Premier League twice in his first three seasons alongside John Terry the first time he won it.
Taking to social media, Terry expressed his bemusement that Costa was still a free agent, tweeting:
"I can’t believe @diegocosta hasn’t been signed by a Premier League club?
"This man is a winner and would make any team stronger."

Diego Costa is infamous for his confrontational personality and style of play but is also known to be very good with the ball at his feet.
In his first three seasons at Chelsea, his numbers were very impressive as he managed to net 59 times before eventually leaving in 2017.
Arsenal were among the clubs that were heavily linked with the 33-year old, who terminated his contract with Atletico Miniero in December 2021.
Why Costa left Brazil
Costa only lasted five months with the Belo Horizonte club, although he managed to win the league and cup double.
Miniero’s director of football Rodrigo Caetano disclosed, as per the Mirror, that Costa had expressed his desire to leave the club for personal issues.

"He stayed with us until the end, he was a very important piece, athlete competitive. He was afraid of this long period that he stayed in Europe, he made it clear that at some point, if he didn't feel comfortable, we could make an agreement of this type.
Aubameyang officially leaves Arsenal
Meanwhile, Sports Brief reported on the end of an era as Arsenal confirmed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang officially left the club on Tuesday, February 1.
In a statement, Arsenal said the Gabon international's time as a Gunner had come to an end, thereby confirming his impending move to Barcelona.
Aubameyang leaves Arsenal after making 163 appearances in all competitions, scoring 92 goals.
