FootballGhana's Majority Leader In Parliament Wants Chris Hughton Appointed As Black Stars Coach
- Top Ghanaian politician Osei Mensah Bonsu has backed the idea of appointing Chris Hughton as the next Black Stars coach
- The former Brighton and Norwich manager has been in Ghana for the past week with reports suggesting he will be the next Ghana coach
- Borussia Dortmund assistant manager Otto Addo is also being considered for the vacant Black Stars job
Osei Mensah Kyei Bonsu, the majority leader in Ghana's Parliament, believes former Brighton manager Chris Hughton is the right man for the Black Stars job.
The experienced gaffer has been in Ghana for almost a week and reports suggest he will be meeting the Ghana Football Association over the vacant coaching role.
In an interview with Angel FM, astute legislator, Osei Mensah backed the idea of Chris Hughton becoming manager, insisting he can 'weld' the average Black Stars materials.
"Chris Hughton is a coach who knows how to build with average materials and that's Ghana's situation now. Our materials are not good so we need Chris to weld. Otto Addo is just a second coach for Dortmund," he said.
Although, Chris Hughton leads the race for the Black Stars job, Otto Addo is another candidate being considered by the Ghana Football Association.
The Black Stars have been without a coach since the sacking of Milovan Rajevac after a poor Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Ghana will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a two legged game for a place at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar next year.
A new coach needs to be announced before March's crucial World Cup qualifiers play-offs.
