  • Kylian Mbappe could be joining Spanish side Real Madrid during the summer as £800k-a-week deal has been agreed with the player
  • French giants Paris Saint-Germain rejected a number of bids for the striker last season, but Real Madrid are desperate
  • As the youngster enters the final six months of his current contract, he is now free to speak with other clubs

Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe on a £800,000-a-week deal.

Los Blancos have been on the trail of the player for some time now as a number of the club’s bids have been rejected by the French club.

The 23-year-old who has entered the final six months of his contract is now free to speak to other clubs and German outlet Bild are reporting that he has agreed to terms on a contract worth a mind-boggling £41.6million-a-year.

SunSport are however reporting that no official statement is expected until both parties clash in the Champions League round of 16.

Both PSG and Real Madrid will clash in Paris on February 15 before their face-off in the second leg of the fixture on March 9 and after then, a pre-contract announcement could be made.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez earlier blasted the French club for rejecting a bid for the forward.

He told Spanish reporter Ramon Alvarez as per Mirror:

"The state owned clubs don’t sell their players. It’s a m*dness.
"Now we offer €200m (£170m) for a single player and they don't sell him. When players finish their contract it's better."

Mbappe has made no secret of his desire to join Real Madrid.

He told RMC in October:

"I asked to leave, because from the moment where I did not want to extend, I wanted for the club to receive a transfer fee so that they could bring in a quality replacement.
“This club has given me a lot, I have always been happy [during] the four years I have had here, and I still am.”

Aubabeyang set for Barcelona medical

Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has arrived in Spain and has headed to Camp Nou to complete a loan switch to Barcelona.

The ousted captain of Arsenal has been frozen out of the Gunners’ first team and has consequently been linked with a move away from the Emirates' club in recent times.

It was gathered that Saudi outfit Al-Nassr had earlier submitted a bid for the former Borussia Dortmund forward as Newcastle United also made enquiries.
