AS Roma's teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan, is inspiring his followers to believe in their dreams after seeing a massive transformation within a year.
Afena-Gyan in just a year, went from playing on the streets of Berekum to starring on the grandest stage at the Stadio Olimpico.
In a post on Twitter, Afena-Gyan shared a biblical message with his followers in photos of him auditioning for a chance to play in Europe and now walking in his dream.
Felix Afena-Gyan moved to Italy in January 2021, and after just 9 months, earned his first professional contract. Few weeks later he made his debut and in November last year, he became the first player born in 2003 to score in the serie A.
Afena-Gyan's path to Europe
Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, just a year ago, Felix Afena-Gyan had no idea he was going to be playing in Europe and as a matter of fact, Italy. But ten months down the lane, he is a star at AS Roma.
While in Ghana, he was just a school going boy with passion for football and enormous talent and like many kids in Berekum, life was fun.
In an old video, which looks like it was taken less than a year ago, Afena-Gyan is seen dancing and enjoying himself at Berekum Presec and that has got many talking.
Afena-Gyan named fastest player in Italy
Ghanaian teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan has chalked another incredible feat in his young career after emerging the fastest player in the Italian serie A.
The 19-year-old was named the fastest player in the month of January after a very good start to the year with Italian giants AS Roma.
In a post on Twitter by Serie A, the young forward beat Lazio's Ciro Immobile and Juventus' Juan Cuadrado to emerge top of the quickest players in the league.
