Tom Saintfiet who is the gaffer of Gambia national team has stated clearly that the Cameroonian senior side have the quality to win the ongoing African Cup of Nations on their home soil.
This comes hours after Gambia were beaten 2-0 by Cameroon in the quarterfinal of the 2021 African Cup of Nations with Karl Ekambi netting the two goals for the Indomitable Lions.
There is no doubt about the fact that Cameroon have been superb so far in this tournament and they are one of the favorites to win the prestigious title.
In their history, the Indomitable Lions have won the AFCON title five times and Cameroonian people are also clamoring for the players to win the title again.
According to the report on GOAL and Daily Post, Tom Saintfiet explained that Cameroon are future champions of the African Cup of Nations.

“I am proud of my players, in the tournament but also in this match where we lost (0-2) against a great team from Cameroon, we were beaten by the future champions of Africa.
“We made mistakes that we paid for in cash, that's also the high level. There were tears in the locker room but the Gambia and its players can be proud of the course, we will bounce back very quickly and return to the front of the stage.”
