Tragedy as Fulham Fan Dies While Watching Match in The Stands

Fulham's Championship clash against Blackpool was marked with tragic scenes after a fan died in the stands following a heart attack.

The fan, identified as Paul Parish was among hundreds of fans who turned up at Craven Cottage to watch the Saturday, January 29, clash.

Mirror UK reports the encounter had to be paused as medics from both teams rushed to his aid.

It is understood Paul received treatment in the stands, with the referee ordering players to return to their dressing rooms.

The fan was later stretchered off the stands and transferred to an ambulance to be taken to the hospital.

However, he is understood to passed away later on, with Fulham confirming the tragic news on social media.

"It is with immense sadness that we inform fans of the passing of supporter, Paul Parish," read a tweet on Fulham's official Twitter page.
"Our condolences go out to Paul's loved ones," the club added.

Meanwhile, the tie ended all square, as Aleksandar Mitrovic's early opener was cancelled out by Josh Bowler.

The Cottagers, however, remain top of the Championship log with 58 points, five ahead of second-placed Blackburn Rovers.

Kenyan striker scores brace for Morecambe

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Jonah Ayunga appears to have hit top form for Morecambe after his recent heroics against Accrington Stanley.

The Kenyan forward was twice on target at Wham Stadium as his side settled for a 2-2 draw in a League One fixture.

The two goals came just days after he found the back of the net Morecambe's 3-2 win over Wycombe.
