Member of Ghana's 2010 World Cup team, John Painstil, has picked the team that will make it to Qatar 2022 between the Black Stars and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Ghana have been drawn against their perennial rivals Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers players slated for March 2022.
Painstil, who played for the Black Stars between 2001 to 2013, is confident Ghana will edge Nigeria for a place in this year's FIFA World Cup.
"Its so sad but I have to say this, Nigeria won’t be in Qatar for the World Cup because Ghana will beat them," he said on GTV Sports Plus.
John Painstil has been to two world cups, and was part of the team that first qualified the four times Africans champions to the global showpiece in 2006.
He also starred as the Black Stars became the third country from the continent to reach the quarter finals of the World Cup in 2010.
These days he was as a coach and a pundit on Ghana's national television, GTV Sports Plus.
He made 89 appearances for the Black Stars before hanging his boots.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are hoping to make a return to the World Cup after missing the 2018 edition in Russia.
