Jesse Lingard is angered and feels disrespected after reports emerged Manchester United had blocked the Englishman’s move to struggling Newcastle United.
The Independent had reported the 29-year old was looking to secure a loan move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United after struggling for minutes under Ralf Ragnick at Old Trafford.
Lingard has made just nine Premier League appearances for Manchester United this season having been frozen out of first-team duties.
According to a report via The Mirror, Newcastle are believed to have launched a £6million offer to acquire the player and are happy to pay his entire salary for the duration of his stay in the North East.
Newcastle are desperate to bring in the forward as they look for reinforcements in their battle against the drop but Manchester United are seemingly not willing to part with the winger.
West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur have also made an enquiry about the availability of Lingard but the Old Trafford club are not willing to loan him to a direct Top-four rival.
It is now understood Lingard feels Manchester United have shown lack of respect for him having been with the Red Devils for over 20 years of his career.
The winger is believed to still be open to a move to Newcastle United and hopes Manchester United will grant him his desire to leave.
