Thomas Tuchel could resort to his preferred 3-4-3 formation when Chelsea battle Man United in the Premier League on Sunday, February 28, at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel is yet to taste defeat in six outings with the Blues, winning four of six EPL matches he has been in charge of the west London club.

But with United keen to spoil the party for Chelsea, the German tactician is expected to make major tactical decisions during the Red Devils' visit.

Key among the decisions include how his wards can nullify United's pacy forwards among them Marcus Rashford.

Despite being involved against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League earlier last week, Édouard Mendy is the man expected to take charge between the sticks, with the trio of Antonio Rudiger, Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta providing cover in defence.

Ben Chilwell could be drafted back in the starting line-up on the left in place of Marcos Alonso to slow down United's attack, with Hudson-Odoi playing on the right flank.

Jorginho is expected to drop to the bench in a midfield pairing that could have N'Golo Kante start with Matteo Kovacic.

Summer signing Kai Havertz could make his first start since returning from injury to take Mason Mount's place - who may need a rest.

Olivier Giroud's Champions League heroics vs Atletico are expected to earn him a role upfront to lead the goal hunt alongside Timo Werner.

A win over United could see Chelsea break into the top four after West Ham faltered against high-flying Man City on Saturday, February 27.

Only two points currently separate the Stamford Bridge dwellers in fifth and West Ham who are placed fourth with 45 points.

Earlier, Legit.ng also reported Man United's possible lineup as Edinson Cavani, Scott McTominay and Van de Beek are available for selection when Red Devils face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Of the three, only Cavani and McTominay could get the nod in the starting XI, with Van de Beek expected to make the bench.

Paul Pogba and Hannibal Mejbri are expected to play no role in the clash, with Dan James facing a late assessment test to establish if he can be involved.
