The emergency meeting between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association, on Friday January 21, has led to some stringent decisions to be taken.

After hours of crunch deliberations following Ghana's early AFCON exit, the government agency has asked the Football Association to reconstitute the Black Stars management committee as well as review Milovan Rajevac's work.

In a statement released on Friday night, the ministry expressed its disappointment with the Black Stars performance at the Africa Cup of Nations and want the right measures taken before the World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana's Black Stars were eliminated from the group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 2006, and this was the first time in the country's AFCON history that the West Africans failed to win a game.

This has necessitated some stringent calls to be made, including a possible sacking of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac.

The Black Stars will now shift their attention to the FIFA World Cup qualifiers play-offs in March, with the draw expected to be held today, January 22, 2021.

Ghana is hoping to make a return to the World stage after missing the 2018 edition in Russia.

The four times African champions have been to the World Cup three times from 2006 to 2014.
