Timo Werner has expressed his appreciation to all Chelsea fans for their continuous support and motivation for him despite currently finding it difficult to hit the heights expected from him.
Last season, Chelsea chiefs decided to spent big on the signing of Timo Werner who was scoring good goals at RB Leipzig and that made the Blues' eggheads to go for him.
But ever since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, the German forward has been finding scoring goals difficult for the Stmaford Bridge landlords which also forced the Blues to resign Lukaku.
In total, Timo Werner has scored 12 times in 52 games for the Premier League giants which is not a great return for someone who cost the Blues £47.5 million which is around N26.7 billion.
How many goals has Timo Werner scored this term in the EPL?
The German has featured for Chelsea 18 times this season in the Premier League and has managed to score only six goals.
According to the report on Sportsbible and GMS, Timo Werner explained that his expectation from Chelsea fans is totally different from what he is getting.
Timo Werner's statement
"Sometimes I don’t know why they are supporting me so much, because I’m a striker and I want to score but miss chances.
"It makes it so fun to play in front of the Chelsea fans & when they give the support they give me, it makes me stronger when I miss chances or have hard times. I try to give my best every game, 100% to make sure the team are happy."
