Eguavoen Makes Crucial Changes to Super Eagles Starting Lineup Ahead of Guinea-Bissau Clash
- Slavia Prague’s Peter Olayinka is set to lead the Super Eagles attack in Nigeria’s final group D game against Guinea-Bissau
- Chidera Ejuke, Alex Iwobi, and Semi Ajayi are also proposed to start the inconsequential group game

Nigeria’s interim manager Augustine Eguavoen is making a massive shake-up to his preferred starting line-up as the Super Eagles get ready to take on Guinea-Bissau in their final group D game on Wednesday, January 19.
Eguavoen who won the AFCON as a player named the same starting line-up in his first two games at the AFCON with Taiwo Awoniyi leading the lines for the Super Eagles alongside Kelechi Iheanacho and Moses Simon.
Other players who have started the Eagles previous group games include Troost-Ekong, Maduka Okoye, Ola Aina, Zaidu Sanusi and Omeruo.
Wilfred Ndidi and Joe Aribo have also marshalled Nigeria’s midfield for its first two games.
The three-time AFCON champions are comfortably top of the group with 6 points having defeated Egypt and Sudan in their first two games of the completion.
According to Complete Sports, Slavia Prague’s Peter Olayinka is now set to lead the Super Eagles attack against the Djurtus alongside Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi who will be making his first start of the competition.
Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho will mount the goal post for the Super Eagles, while Tyronne Ebuehi and Jamilu Collins will also make their first appearance in the competition.
Kelechi Nwakali and Semi Ajayi have also been proposed to make Nigeria’s starting eleven as Augustine Eguavoen is seeking to repeat his record as the only Nigerian coach to have won all group games at the Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles.
