Nathan Tella who plays as a midfielder for Premier League side Southampton has confirmed his readiness to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and not the Three-Lions of England.
Over the years, there have been serious tussles between England and Nigeria over the allegiances of some players, most especially those born in the European nation.
Last year, despite all efforts by the Nigerian Football Federation to convince Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori to play for Nigeria, these two players turned their backs on Super Eagles, choosing England.
However, there are some players like Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina who were also born in England, but decided to represent Nigeria and have even played more than 10 games for Super Eagles.
Where and when was Nathan Tella born?
Nathan Tella was born in Lambeth, England to Nigerian parents in July 1999 which makes him eligible to play for Nigeria or England.
According to the report on Pulse and Complete Sports, Nathan Tella stated that he has not been contacted, but he is making the process of acquiring a Nigerian passport.

"Yeah' It's true. I haven't been contacted as such but I'm in the process of sorting out my passport for them.
"Whatever happens in the future I am just focused on being here and, yes, trying to score goals and help the team win and progress."

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how video emerged where Ahmed Musa was spotted leading other Super Eagles stars in dancing in the dressing room following their win over Sudan at the African Cup of Nations.
Nigeria were on Saturday evening, January 15, superb as as Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon scored in their 3-1 win over Sudan.
The encounter was Super Eagles' second game at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon and it means that Nigeria have now qualified for the knockout stages.
After getting into the dressing room in Garoua, Super Eagles players were happy with their win over Sudan and were singing the music of Austino Milado.
