“This already proves what I’ve said all along. He is not [match] fit and it would be strange if he would join the tournament," said Ten Hag to ESPN Netherlands.

Kudus started training early this moth after joining the Dutch giants for the mid-season camping in Portugal.

He also started football works while recuperating but he is yet to be match fit, ruling him out of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana, however, are yet to win a game at the Africa Cup of Nations after a defeat and a draw in their opening two games at the tournament.
