Italian outfit Genoa have sacked Andriy Shevchenko as manager of the club with barely two months after he was appointed.
beIN Sports are reporting that the Ukrainian managed just one win in his 11 matches in charge in all competitions.
The Serie A club announced on Saturday and stated that Under-17 coach Abdoulay Konko would be caretaker manager until the club finds a permanent replacement for the former AC Milan striker.
The ex-Chelsea forward was appointed on November 7 and his team’s latest loss to AC Milan in the Italian Cup attracted the wrath of the club management, Euro Sports reports.
During his time at the club, Genoa managed just three goals in nine Serie A matches, failing to win and losing six times.
