With Mohamed Salah in the final 18 months of his current contract with Premier League club Liverpool, reports claim the Egyptian could see off his deal and exit the club.
UK outlet Mirror are reporting that the 29-year-old who earns well over £200,000-a-week is yet to renew his contract with the club as Liverpool continue to mount pressure.
The exit door is now left open for Salah as negotiations over a £500k-a-week contract demand is yet to be agreed upon.
No doubt, the Reds are desperate in keeping the in-form superstar, The Telegraph are reporting that consultations would continue for some time as Liverpool are not prepared to agree to the player’s demands.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted what is going on behind the scenes at the club as Liverpool are yet to publicly give an explanation of the situation.
There are concerns that the player could be moving away from the club, but Klopp stated that the player is asking for cr*zy stuff.
Salah said, in an interview with GQ as per SI:
"I want to stay, but it is not in my hands. It is in their hands. They know what I want. I am not asking for crazy stuff.
"The thing is when you ask for something and they show you they can give you something. I have been here for my fifth year now. I know the club very well.
"I love the fans. The fans love me. But with the administration, they have (been) told the situation. It is in their hands."
Reds boss Klopp offered a relaxed response in his press conference when asked about Salah's comments.
