There were concerns at the Old Trafford on Thursday as Cristiano Ronaldo picked up an injury in training and the 36-year-old was made to leave early.
90min are reporting that the Portuguese sensation has been suffering from a hip problem for some time now just before their FA Cup win over Aston Villa on Monday which saw him left out of the squad.
SunSport are also reporting that the injury is not said to be serious as the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is now expected to return to training any moment.
It was gathered that United doctors had to monitor CR7’s situation before sending him home early amid fears that he might be out of action when they face Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
The former Juventus striker is desperate to return and has spent time in the oxygen chamber in his house to try and accelerate his recovery.
