Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have been rumoured to be preparing to get a talented replacement for Kylian Mbappe and they have set their sights on Cristiano Ronaldo, Daily Star reports.
The legend could now leave Manchester United as the French club are set to reignite their chase.
It was gathered that Cristiano Ronaldo held crisis talks over his position at Manchester United and could be willing to dump the Red Devils.
PSG believe Mbappe would leave for Spanish side Real Madrid during the summer and they are already shopping for a formidable replacement.
Ronaldo reportedly met with his agent Jorge Mendes who was at in the UK over the weekend to help sort out issues at the Old Trafford.
And French outlet Le10Sport are now reporting that PSG are now prepared to offer contract to the 36-year-old.
They claim the Parisians are 'obliged to strike hard' to replace Mbappe, and there are only a few attackers in world football who would be able to fulfil this.
Ronaldo desperate to leave Man Utd
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is plotting a move to Spain as he is increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress at current club Manchester United.
Manchester United started the season as one of the favourites to be Premier League champions, but instead find themselves fighting for the top four before Christmas.
Another report claims Ronaldo might just be heading to Spain to team up with Barcelona as Mendes’ excellent relationship with Barcelona president Joan Laporta, plus Xavi Hernandez’s need for goals make the Manchester United striker’s move to the Nou Camp a distinct possibility in the summer.
