Speaking to KickOff Patosi confirmed that his contract was expiring in June and that they hadn't discussed anything as yet. He also praised Foolad for treating him so well during his time in Iran.

Despite being happy where he currently is, Patosi added that he would be open to a return home.

"If there's an opportunity to return to South Africa and there's a good offer, then why not.
"I have always had the dream of playing for one of the biggest teams in South Africa, and if there is an opportunity of that happening I will highly consider that."

While Patosi admitted that was nothing concrete as yet in terms of offers, The South African reported that Kaizer Chiefs are in 'advanced talks' with the midfielder.

“Talks are at an advanced stage with Kaizer Chiefs bosses and hopefully there will be more information coming out regarding the proceedings.” a source told The South African.
“The player wants to come back home and he proved himself when he was on the books of Cape Town City FC”.

Football fan admits that Mzansi needs to export more players overseas to be more competitive

A local football fan watching the ongoing 2021 African Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon made a stark observation because of Bafana Bafana's absence in Cameroon, Sports Brief earlier reported.

Alex Sithole (@AlexSithole) believes that in order for the national football team to be competitive and qualify for more tournaments, players at home need to start playing overseas. Noting the quality of Nigeria's squad in the competition, he believes that South Africans tolerate mediocrity.

The response to the fan's observation was mixed from agreement to disagreement. "It won't be easy, you have a player that earns as much as R1,4M so how much do you think you going to sell for that kind of player," replied one person to his comment.
