- The rapper is seen remonstrating up and down as the Black Stars struggled against the North African giants
- Ghana ended up losing the game 1-0, much to the disappointment of the BET award winner
Multiple award winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie was apprehensive while watching the Black Stars play Morocco.
The West African giants suffered a narrow defeat to the Atlas Lions of Morocco, after a late Sofiane Boufal goal left Ghanaians heartbroken.
In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by SportsBrief.com, Sarkodie is seen restless as the Black Stars were pinned down by Morocco.
Sarkodie is a huge fan of the Black Stars and tweeted before the game how anxious he becomes when Ghana has a game.
"Hate and love this feeling I get when my country playing," he wrote on Twitter.
Unfortunately, the Black Stars failed to deliver the results Ghanaians wanted on the night in Cameroon.
However, the team is expected to make up for the disappointment when they face Gabon on Friday, January 14, 2021.
The Black Stars are chasing a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title, after last winning it in 1982, 40 years ago.
Ghana beaten by Morocco in AFCON opener
Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, former Southampton striker Sofiane Boufal was the hero for the Atlas Lions as Morocco edged out a resilient Ghana side in the opening game of Group C at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Both teams were among the pre-tournament favourites to lift the title on February 6, but their final ball from crossing situations was poor and as a result, neither could create many chances in a cagey opening 45 minutes.
Boufal broke the West Africans resolve when he hammered home from close range in the 83rd minute after a cheeky run into the Ghanaian penalty area from Zakaria Aboukhlal that saw him tease the Ghana defence, only to be checked by Thomas Partey, with the ball then running perfectly for Boufal to score.
