Axel Tuanzebe has completed a loan move from Premier League side Manchester United to Italian giants Napoli following his failure to get regular playing time at Aston Villa.
The Congolese footballer moved to Napoli until the end of the ongoing campaign although there is no option of the Italian side signing him on a permanent basis.
Napoli will pay United a loan fee of £500,000 for Tuanzebe's services with an additional £500,000 included in the deal via potential bonus payments.
According to the confirmation by Manchester United and a report on Daily Star, the Red Devils had to cut short his stay at Aston Villa so as to allow him get active playing time elsewhere.
Why did Axel fail to get playing time at Aston Villa?
Initially when he joined the club, things were looking promising for Tuanzebe under Dean Smith, but things turned sour form him when Steven Gerrard was appointed as new gaffer.
Before his departure at Aston Villa, Axel Tuanzebe made 11 appearances in all competitions even though he played for only eight minutes under Gerrard.
