Sports Brief earlier reported that the Cameroon city of Limbe descended into chaos as separatist fighters set off an improvised explosive device (IED), although local police say no one was injured, Xinhua reports.
Limbe is the host city of Group F matches at the Africa Cup of Nations in games involving Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania and Gambia.
Separatist fighters in the country have vowed to disrupt the AFCON tournament as they claim they do not want matches staged in that region.
