Olunga is currently plying his trade in the Middle East with Qatari outfit, Al Duhail SC, who he signed for in January 2021 after he departed Kashiwa Reysol.

The Kenyan international has enjoyed an impressive run of form with Al Duhail since his arrival scoring an eyewatering 26 goals in 19 league matches during his debut season.

He has continued to flourish this term, with his spectacular form winning him the Player of the Month for October and November 2021.

Evidently, his goalscoring prowess has not escaped the eyes of potential suitors in Europe, with Fenerbahce now believed to be eyeing his services.

According to multiple media outlets in Turkey, Fenerbahce are looking to add the former Gor Mania striker within their ranks.

Fotomaç, a Turkish sports daily, reports Fenerbahce's lack of incisiveness in front of goal informed the club's decision to plot a move for a proven goalscorer.

Olunga's potential move to the Turkish club will see him link up with former Arsenal and Real Madrid midfielder, Mesut Ozil.

The 27-year-old's three-year contract with Al Duhail is set to expire in 2022.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce are currently placed fourth on the Turkish topflight league with 32 points, a massive 14 points behind leaders, Trabzonspor.

The Harambee Stars skipper was in good shape during the period under review as he notched five goals in five appearances.

The five goals included a stunning brace against Al Sadd, with the other three coming against Qatar Sporting Club, Al Rayyan, and Al Shamal.
