The fallout over Romelu Lukaku's demotion at Chelsea by manager Thomas Tuchel will not stop any time soon.
The German coach left the Belgian out of the Blues' thrilling 2-2 encounter against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, which was the peak of a spat that began last week. Lukaku was a record signing for Chelsea after returning to the club via stints at Everton and Manchester United, going for £97.5m (R2.1b).
However, his playing time has been limited at the club as strikers continue to misfire. According to SkySports, Lukaku openly questioned Tuchel in an interview on Italian television.

"Physically I'm doing great. I'm just not very happy with the situation, but that's normal. I think the boss has decided to play a different formation but I have to stick at it and get on with it professionally. I'm not happy with the situation but it's my job and I mustn't give up.
"I really hope in the depths of my heart to return to Inter, not at the end of my career, but at a still good level to hopefully win more."
Allies for the frustrated Lukaku were hard to come by, with observers criticising him for airing dirty laundry in public.
