Berger on Hamilton’s Ferrari move
During a conversation with Italian media outlet, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the 64-year-old shared his optimistic outlook on Hamilton's arrival at the Maranello-based team.
"The team needs to usher in a new era, and Lewis is not only one of the greatest drivers in history, but also an exceptional public figure," he remarked.
Highlighting Hamilton as the driver who could lead Ferrari back to its former glory, the retired Austrian driver emphasised the value of his experience as a racer.
"He has won more than a hundred Grand Prix races. He knows how to win and how to motivate the team, as well as navigate politically challenging situations.
"Moreover, some technicians will follow him, and others from different teams might join because they are inspired by Lewis [Hamilton] presence. Ferrari could embark on a cycle of success like what it experienced with Michael Schumacher."
