The 26-year-old has treated fans to the most dominant Formula 1 season ever experienced by any driver in the 73-year-long history of the sport.
From setting the records for most race wins in a season to eclipsing the most points accumulated by a driver in a season, the three-time F1 champion indeed was on a level incomprehensible through the season, and Verstappen again ensured he added more to his illustrious achievements setting another new record as he coasted to his record-extending 19th victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

As reported by ESPN F1, the Red Bull driver became the first driver to lead over 1000 laps in an F1 season. The record for the most laps led in a season was previously held by former Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel —739 laps; however, Verstappen eclipsed the record at the Qatar Grand Prix and further hit new heights, extending over 1000 laps.
This remarkable record adds another layer to Verstappen's outstanding weekend, during which he equalled the record for the most pole positions in a single season, as reported by DRS Zone during the race qualifying.
As the 2024 season is poised to kick off in Bahrain in just 94 days, Verstappen will undoubtedly aspire to continue his streak and deliver another spectacular F1 season.
