Formula 1 is making its third appearance in the United States this year, marking a significant return after 40 years to the vibrant city of Las Vegas for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix.

This weekend's Grand Prix poses a unique challenge for all teams, potentially setting the stage for the coldest race in Formula 1 history, with temperatures expected to plummet to as low as five degrees Celsius, as reported by Sports Illustrated. Further adding to the complexity, there's a chance of rain on Friday, which could further intensify the racing conditions.

Despite Max Verstappen and Red Bull having already secured the 2023 F1 Drivers' Championship and Constructors' title, they remain the favourites at the Las Vegas Street Circuit.

However, the stakes are high for the rest of the field, particularly for Sergio Perez, who is still contending with Lewis Hamilton for the second spot in the drivers' standings.

As the excitement unfolds, Sports Brief is dedicated to keeping you informed. In this piece, we provide a comprehensive preview, insights into what to expect, and the race schedule for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Las Vegas Grand Prix Preview

The inaugural Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, taking over 'Sin City' this weekend, is poised to become one of F1's most iconic street races. This event, the third in the United States this year after races in Miami and Austin, marks the first race in Vegas since 1982.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to be a fixture on the F1 calendar for the next decade, representing a centrepiece of the sport's recent expansion into America.

Distinguished from other night races like Bahrain and Singapore, every session at the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be conducted under the dazzling lights of the night.
