- Verstappen has recently cleared the air on his chances of quitting Red Bull
Max Verstappen continues to dominate Formula 1, flying the flag of Austrian constructor Red Bull racing.
The Dutch racer’s exceptional performance has led him to claim the championship title for two consecutive seasons. At 26, he seems poised to secure his third consecutive championship, prompting discussions about his potential boredom with his accomplishments at Red Bull.
So far, all 45 of Verstappen’s Grand Prix victories have been achieved with him driving for Red Bull. With the two-time champion currently in the seventh year at the Milton Keynes-based team, Verstappen was recently questioned about whether there was a juncture in his journey where he contemplated the notion of parting ways with Red Bull.
Verstappen on quitting Red Bull
The 2023 drivers’ championship leader spoke to Dutch outlet De Telegraf, and he was quick to debunk talks of him being bored of the Milton Keynes team.
“Not that. But I did think: will it still work here? But we always got back together in the end.
Just look at the switch of engine supplier, from Renault to Honda, and the way in which they are now working on their own engine. There was always something to look forward to.”
Verstappen was also quizzed about F1 fans finding his dominance boring:
”This is what I’ve always worked for. If people are starting to shout that it’s boring, so be it. I also know the other side of the coin.”
“I definitely don’t find it boring.”
According to reports from FirstSportz, the Dutch driver who could equal the record for the most consecutive race win in the sport’s history will be getting back in shape ahead of the second half of the season resumption in Zaandvort.
