FootballFormula 1 Analyst Warns Lewis Hamilton Against Joining Ferrari
- Lewis Hamilton has been reported to be unsettled at Mercedes
- The British driver has been linked with a move to Italian F1 constructor Ferrari
- Hamilton has been advised against making a move to join the Italian team
British Formula 1 driver, Lewis Hamilton has been warned against making a possible switch to Italian Formula 1 constructor Ferrari.
According to Formula 1 analyst, Peter Windsor, a move to the Maranello would plunge the driver’s career into chaos.
Hamilton’s future at Mercedes has been up in the air with rumours that the driver is unhappy, as reported by Sports Illustrated. With just five months left to go on his existing deal, many teams on the grid have been linked with the seven-time champion.
Peter Windsor on Lewis Hamilton
F1 analyst, Peter Windsor, did not hold back his thoughts on the British driver fancying a move to Ferrari during a live stream on his YouTube channel. Windsor went no holds barred, saying:
“I can’t imagine Ferrari is attractive to him.
“Obviously he did work with Fred Vasseur at ASM in his Formula Three days and knows him, and Fred would have put out the feelers to him.
“But then if he doesn’t go to Ferrari and all the chaos, where is he going to go? He’s not going to get a Red Bull seat so he might as well stay where he is.”
The rumours of Hamilton’s possible exit from the Mercedes garage keeps getting stronger due to the delay in renewing his Mercedes contract.
Windsor, however, has stated that he believes Hamilton will sign a new deal at the German team.
“I think Lewis is sort of talking himself into staying at Mercedes, isn’t he?
“You could argue that tonight [after the British GP], he’ll get on the plane back and he’ll be thinking ‘Well look at McLaren, they’ve turned it around. We can do the same.’

Football“I’m sure there’s a lot of that going on at Mercedes and I think Lewis with these conversations with Toto afterwards was saying ‘McLaren is unbelievably good on those fast corners, that’s what we’ve got to do.’”
If recent reports by Mercedes Team Principal, Toto Wolff are to be believed, Hamilton and his current team seem closer to an extension. It is believed that his contract renewal is only subject to a few more details.
Hamilton thrashes Shakira dating rumour
Sports Brief, in another report, stated that singer, Shakira and Hamilton were rumoured to be dating, with the music sensation spotted at Formula 1 tracks and even at functions together with the seven-time champion.
In quite a sudden turn of events, the racing driver was spotted on a yacht with two other celebrities during a vacation in Ibiza.
Hamilton, who was enjoying his Formula 1 summer break ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, was seen with two women in swimsuits on vacation. They were reported to be women's tennis prospect, Jenny Stray Spetalen and Mexican actor, Eiza Gonzalez.
