Vettel is one of the most popular drivers in the sport and will also go down as one of the more successful drivers.

Vettel’s final race

The German driver started the race in ninth place was in a battle with Esteban Ocon for the first few laps of the race. The team opted for a one-stop strategy which sadly impacted his race. Vettel saw his teammate pass him in the race's closing stages. He finished tenth and earned a point in his final race.

Sebastian’s career stats

A four-time World Champion, Vettel enjoyed 53 victories in his career while also earning 57 pole positions from his 299 race starts. His four World Drivers’ Championship titles came with Red Bull Racing in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Most controversial moments

While Vettel is well-loved among the drivers now, he’s also had his fair share of controversial moments. His most notable battles came against Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber. Webber and Vettel were teammates at Red Bull, but the relationship between the two was fractured, to say the least, The Express reported.

His relationship with Hamilton was also strained after Vettel drove into the back of the Mercedes driver. The two have become good friends since, and Hamilton even organized Vettel’s farewell dinner.

A dinner to remember

Hamilton convinced all the drivers to get together for one night to bid Seb farewell. It was the first time that all the drivers went out together since the 2016 bunch. Hamilton even picked up the tab, Crash reported.
