Quinton de Kock returns to the Proteas squad for the first of three one day internationals against India after retiring from the test team.
Kagiso Rabada who spearheaded the attack against India in the test has been rested for the upcoming series.
The first of three ODI's will take place at Boland Park, Cricket South Africa confirmed on their Instagram account. Temba Bavuma will skipper the Proteas and be looking to continue his rich vein of form coming into the game.
Sport24 confirmed that Rabada was being rested ahead of the Proteas upcoming tour to New Zealand in February.
South African fans are excited about the upcoming series and hope that the Proteas will claim another comprehensive victory.

In other cricket news, India's then test captain Virat Kohli has escaped any punishment for his verbal tirade into the stump mic during the third test against South Africa at Newlands, Sports Brief earlier reported.

CricketIndia lost the third test match and the series which saw Kohli also step down as Indian test team captain. Kohli captained India's test team for the past seven years, leading them to 40 wins from 68 matches, SkySports confirmed.
Kohli's retirement news was soon overshadowed by the news that he would not be fined for his outburst during the final test. After Dean Elgar's dismissal was overturned by DRS, Kohli walked over to the stump mic to hurl insults and accusations.
