As noted by Bleacher Report, the bout was postponed after Tyson’s recent medical emergency.

The former world champion recently suffered an ulcer flare-up, resulting in him becoming nauseous and dizzy.

Who could Paul face next?

While the 27-year-old has teased a new opponent, a former champion has thrown his hat in the ring.

DAZN reported that Roy Jones Jr has indicated he would be up for the challenge.

Jones Jr last fought in 2020, when he competed in an exhibition fight against Tyson, but he admitted he would be keen to get in shape in case a match materialised.

“I’m kind of thinking about that. I might try and get into shape in case that happens.
“Maybe I get myself in shape for that because I never thought about doing it before, but with the situation of the fight being postponed, I think that’s a great idea.

Who is Roy Jones Jr?

The now 56-year-old is truly one of the greats of the sport.

Jones Jr held world championships in four different weight classes and is the only man to have started his career at Light Middleweight and gone on to win the Heavyweight strap.

Captain Hook, as he was known, had 76 professional fights in his career, with 66 wins and 10 losses.

He won 47 of his fights by knockout.

Tyson vs Paul postponed for now

Sports Brief previously reported how the fight between Tyson and Paul was called off amid concerns over Iron Mike’s health.

The fight, which was to be streamed on Netflix, was highly anticipated but also considered controversial because of Tyson’s age.

Tyson recently suffered an ulcer flare-up, which prompted medical professionals to advise Tyson to avoid any full training for a while.
