There’s big money to be made in boxing.
British boxers Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are on course for a massive payday provided they both win their next fights.
As noted by The Mirror, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, stated how much each boxer would pocket for an all-British clash.
He made the comments before Deontay Wilder was beaten by Joseph Parker, while he was still scheduled to take on Joshua.
"They’ll make over £100 million each. If Fury beats Usyk and AJ beats Wilder, they’ll make over £100 million each.” At that level, that’s when it starts to become easy.
Joshua will no longer face Wilder, but the money remains the same if he wins his next bout.
Fury and Joshua’s earnings compared to Messi’s
To put it into context, both Fury and Joshua will earn more in one night than Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe make in a year.
As reported by the LA Times, Messi earns approximately $60 million a year due to his deal in America.
Joshua and Fury will earn $126 million for their fight. Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe makes just over €90 million per year, All Football reported.
That equates to approximately £77 million, just over £20 million less than each fighter will pocket for a night’s work.

While the former heavyweight champion has one eye on a big fight purse, Joshua can’t afford to overlook his next opponent.
The Telegraph reported that the British boxer will take on Francis Ngannou on March 8. Ngannou gave Fury a run for his money in his debut bout and will look to make a statement against AJ.
