Bamzy claims after Parker knocked Wilder down, it would be difficult for him to get a bout with Joshua as he would need to start from scratch again before he can have another chance.

“Wilder had an opportunity but messes it up. Fans were eagerly anticipating the bout with Anthony Joshua but his loss tonight makes that practically impossible. Bamzy spoke exclusively to Sports Brief.

According to Daily Express, on the same night, Anthony Joshua delivered one of his best performances since 2018, defeating Otto Wallin via technical knockout in the fifth round.

Wilder insists on Joshua bout

Meanwhile, Deontay Wilder is not giving up on his proposed fight with Anthony Joshua despite having a been sidetracked by the loss to Joseph Parker on Saturday night, Daily Trust reports.

The 38-year-old American fighter claims he still wants to fight Joshua, but that the British-Nigerian boxer will use Parker’s loss to avoid fighting him.

Wilder has now suffered three losses from his last four fights, with his only victory coming against Robert Helenius and the American will need to re-invent himself to stand any opportunity of fighting against Joshua although Eddie Hearn is open on making the fight a possibility.
