"Judgment Day" was a professional boxing competition between Trevor and Mike Tyson on November 22, 1986, for the WBC heavyweight title. With a technical knockout in the second round, Tyson easily defeated him.

Tyson landed a four-punch combination on him near the end of the round, knocking him out. Tyson persisted in his assault, striking the Jamaican multiple times more until the bell rang, but he remained upright.

Nearly instantly after dropping the champion with a combination in round 2, Tyson resumed his aggressive style. The bout proceeded as Trevor was able to respond to the official's count. On the other hand, Trevor failed to launch any offensive.

On 28 October 2006, Berbick was murdered at a church in Norwich, Jamaica, by an assailant wielding a 2-inch-diameter (51 mm) steel pipe. He sustained repeated blows to the head and died at the scene.
