Shortly after his post-match remarks, Oleksandr Usyk walked up to Fury as both exciting fighters faced off.

Earlier, the WBC title holder disclosed that he intended to fight the Ukrainian on December 23, but after his controversial split decision victory over Francis Ngannou, Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, appeared to backtrack on that plan, Sporting News reports.

And that heavyweight megafight came this close to igniting on the night, as fans will expect this one to be a spectacle.

And fans have continued to react. One said:

“If Fury boxes like that against Usyk, Usyk will win every round.”

Another added:

“This is the truth. They denied Francis Ngannou victory, to make a box of office fight with Usysk... it was all rigged.”

A fan wrote:

“Nah we should be getting Uysk vs Ngannou. Make no mistake that should be the fight now and the world knows it!”

One said:

“Fury gonna need to sharpen up for usyk because that was a poor performance tonight.”

Fury vs Ngannou prize money

Sports Brief earlier reported that Francis Ngannou will be earning $10m from the fight against Fury.

On the other hand, Derek Chisora has claimed that Fury will be making $50m. That is not believed to factor in sponsorships.

The pair were a delight to watch on the night, however many will disagree with the result, especially as regards the knockdown suffered by Fury.
