BoxingUFC’s Daniel Cormier Labels Tyson Fury’s Actions As Disrespectful to Francis Ngannou
- Daniel Cormier is a fan of Tyson Fury, but doesn't agree with The Gypsy King's latest decision
- Fury will fight Francis Ngannou and then defend his WBC Heavyweight title less than two months later
- Cormier labelled his move as disrespectful to Ngannou who is making his boxing debut against Fury
Daniel Cormier is not impressed with Tyson Fury's latest decision.
The former UFC dual champion has hit out The Gypsy King for the disrespect shown towards Francis Ngannou, and hopes the Cameroonian star teaches him a lesson.
As noted by ESPN, Fury agreed to fight the former UFC Heavyweight champion at the end of October, a decision many criticised.
He then agreed on a deal to fight Oleksandr Usyk in a heavyweight title unification bout, which is scheduled to take place less than two months after his bout with Ngannou.
Cormier, who once held the UFC's Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight titles at the same time, has hit out at Fury for seemingly overlooking The Predator as a threat.
As noted by Bloody Elbow, Cormier labelled the decision as disrespectful.
"It is the most disrespectful thing Tyson Fury could do. It is so disrespectful. Tyson Fury knows. It’s kind of crazy, bro, because I hope Francis knocks his head off," he said.
Cormier added that he liked the WBC Heavyweight champion, and his personality, but couldn't believe that he would schedule another fight so soon after the Ngannou bout, essentially saying that he would be fit to fight Ukraine's Usyk so soon after.
While Fury is favourite to win the fight against Ngannou, the Cameroonian has promised to hurt the undefeated boxer during his debut bout.
