Deontay Wilder is back in the headlines again, but this time for all the wrong reasons.
The former world heavyweight champion was arrested in Los Angeles, before being released on bail later on.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that The Bronze Bomber was arrested in the early hours of May 2 and released on bail approximately five hours later. Unconfirmed reports allege that Wilder was stopped during a routine traffic stop by police, who then found a gun in his vehicle. Wilder took to social media to address the rumours, posting a short tweet which neither confirmed or denied the reports.

Wilder's previous criminal charge
It's not the first time that the American has been in trouble with the law either. In 2018 he was arrested for being in possession of an illegal substance.
Wilder received a 30-day suspended sentence and two years of probation for that. He was also ordered to perform community service at a local YMCA.
Who next for Wilder?
Wilder has recently been in talks for a fight against Anthony Joshua. The duo were meant to fight each other when they were both champions, but it never materialised. Negotiations are now underway for a mega fight in December.
