Joshua confirms Wilder fight

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua has confirmed that he will fight Deontay Wilder in December this year.

The 33-year-old outpointed Jermaine Franklin at the start of the month to return to winning ways following his two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

In a video posted on Twitter, the former IBF heavyweight champion was asked whether he would be fighting Wilder and replied:

"That's what's happening, you know what's going on."

The Nigerian-born boxer went one step further and confirmed that the mega-fight is set to happen before the end of the year.

"It's public news we're getting it down, throwing it down in December."

Joshua drops in heavyweight rankings

Sports Brief earlier reported that the British boxer has fallen down the pecking order since his days as heavyweight champion, dropping to fifth.

Fury may not have got his fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but he has his hands full as he looks to defend his heavyweight title.

Fury is the current WBC Heavyweight champion and last defended his belt against Derek Chisora.
