Legendary boxer Oscar De La Hoya has officially divorced his wife Millie Corretjer after the pair were separated for more than 6 years.
The former WBO and IBF lightweight champion married the Puerto Rican singer and actress in 2001 and share three children together.
49-year-old De La Hoya filed for divorce on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason to end their marriage, TMZ claims.
How De La Hoya met Corretjer
Affectionately known as Golden Boy, De La Hoya met his wife in 2000 when the former champion got close to the music industry and started participating in music videos, Daily Mail reports.

He then contacted Corretjer who was pursuing a singing and acting career to make an appearance in one of his music videos after she caught his eye.
After a few months of dating, the couple tied the knot in 2001.

De La Hoya, 45-39-6, has dated ex-beauty queen and Playboy model Shanna Moakler. They share one daughter, Atiana, together.
