Boxer Amir Khan was robbed of his £72,000 watch at gunpoint after eating dinner in London; and CCTV footage shows the moment the incident occurred.

It was gathered that the former world champion and his wife Faryal Makhdoom were in East London area of Leyton on Monday evening when the incident happened.

The boxer claimed that he was attacked and robbed by a-two man gang who took away his Franck Muller Geneve timepiece.

The 35-year-old boxer and promoter took to social media to narrate the sickening moment and quickly stated that he and his wife were safe.

He wrote:

"Just had my watch taken off me at gunpoint in East London, Leyton. I crossed the road with Faryal, luckily she was a few steps behind me.

"Two men ran to me, he asked for my watch whilst having a gun pointed in my face. The main thing is we’re both safe."

Now, Makhdoom has posted CCTV footage of the incident, with a caption:

"Footage of last night's armed robbery. Two men coming out the car... they knew exactly what time we walked out. Seems like a set up to me, considering we didn't even post where we were.

"It makes me sick to my stomach to know someone sitting in the restaurant was probably the one plotting this."
